Forklift Seat Belts - Described in the Regulation guidelines are the utilization of operative restraints and seatbelts on lift trucks. Side boom tractors and mobile equipment with a Rollover Protective Structure, or ROPS for short, have to include seat belts which satisfy the requirements of the Society of Automotive Engineers, or SAE, Standard J386 JUN93, Operator Restraint System for Off-Road Work Machines. If whatever mobile machinery includes seat belts required by law, the operator and subsequent passengers have to make sure they utilize the belts whenever the motor vehicle is in motion or engaged in operation for the reason that this could cause the equipment to become unstable and therefore, not safe.
