Cascade Clamps - Established in Portland, Oregon in the year 1943, the Cascade Manufacturing Company started as a small machine shop hiring just 4 individuals. Total sales for that year amounted to about $60,000. The first recorded sales revenues involved the assembly and machining of stainless-steel pipe fittings, valves and different components. Within five years of operation, the company had stretched to forty staff and their yearly sales volume had risen to three hundred thirty thousand dollars. At present, Cascade is amongst the top international makers within the material handling business.

Production and design of the company's original hydraulic cylinder paved the way in Cascade's aggressive quest of new business possibilities. During the last sixty years, the material handling trade has matured into a highly complex area and Cascade has proudly played a part on this progress. Cascade presently continues to develop as the premier provider of forklift accessories and various related items. The company feels certain in their capability so as to continue to lead the way within the business by understanding customer's needs in the future and remaining competitive within the global market.

During the nineteen fifties, Cascade started to fabricate, design, and promote its hydraulic accessories. A new facility was constructed in the year 1956, to be able to accommodate all of the plant offices and operations in Portland, Oregon, which continues to be the company's current head office. After fifteen years of business, total staff reached 180 staff and sales had reached practically $2,300,000.

The next production plant was built in 1959 in Springfield, Ohio. nineteen sixty marked Cascade's initial transfer into the international world of the material handling industry as the business established interest in the Netherlands, England, and Australia.

The company changed its name to Cascade Corporation in 1964. In the year 1965, Cascade went public with an initial offering of two hundred thousand shares of common stock. The company has expanded its manufacturing plants throughout the U.S. with locations in Portland, Oregon, Springfield, Ohio, and Warner Robins, Georgia. Cascade merchandise are fabricated internationally because of a lot of subsidiary operations. In the year 1944, a new facility was accomplished in Almere, the Netherlands which is Cascade's European command center. This facility is designed to be the essential customer service centre.

Cascade further expanded their product base in 1996 and the year 1997 after buying 5 firms, which included the Kenhar Corporation, the worldwide leader in forks.
